Full Walkthrough
How to Fish drops you on a Lighthouse rock with empty pockets and a hungry keeper. Our complete walkthrough carries you across all five islands — Forest, Desert, Rocks and the Military Volcano — with every NPC hand-in, boss trophy and unlock explained. No step skipped, no quest chain left vague.
Every Boss, Solved
Five story bosses gate the route: the Spider Crab, Giant Piranha, Pufferfish, Terrorizing Bird and the final volcano whale. Each boss guide covers its summon trigger, punish windows, escape-timer management and the trophy you must never sell.
Gear & Money
The economy is brutal in hour one. We track every confirmed price — the $150 shotgun, $650 SMG, $20,000 assault rifle — plus radar costs, sharpening math, cooking multipliers and the fastest legitimate ways to fund each island's shopping trip.
What Is How to Fish?
How to Fish is a co-op fishing adventure from developer Dazed Games that launched on Steam on August 20, 2026 — and promptly exploded past a quarter-million concurrent players within days. It looks like a cozy fishing simulator for about five minutes: catch clams, feed a lighthouse keeper, buy a $3 rod. Then you discover the actual loop is catch something, throw it onto land, kill it with increasingly ridiculous weapons, cook it, sell it, and use the money to sail toward five progressively stranger islands.
The game supports one to four players in online co-op through Steam's native lobby system, with full controller support. Money is shared across the crew, which makes purchase discipline a group decision — one player buying a $50 pistol out of boredom is how squads arrive at boss fights under-geared.
Progression runs through a fixed chain of islands, each gated by a boss kill and a specific trophy hand-in: Spider Crab Shell for boat keys, Giant Piranha drop for Island 3 coordinates, Pufferfish tail for Island 4, a Bird's Head for the Volcano radar, and finally the great whale itself delivered into the volcano for the ending. Ordinary meat never advances the story — which is why our guides repeat one rule everywhere: never sell a uniquely named drop until an NPC has taken it.
This site collects everything launch-week players kept asking: where every fish lives, what each weapon actually costs, which purchases are traps, how trick shots multiply sale value, and what the white bar under every boss health pool really means. Start with the beginner guide if you are new, or jump straight to the walkthrough if you just need the next unlock.
